The conversion of a 19th-century Ottoman warehouse into a boutique hotel required a delicate negotiation between conservation and transformation. The original load-bearing stone walls and cast iron columns were retained, cleaned, and celebrated as the primary architectural material. New insertions — guest room pods suspended from the existing structure, a rooftop pool terrace, and a glazed restaurant extension — are clearly contemporary in their language, ensuring legibility of the building’s layered history.

The 42 guest rooms vary in configuration, taking advantage of the warehouse’s irregular geometry to create a series of unique spatial experiences. Several rooms feature original stone walls, exposed timber roof trusses, and views directly across the water to the old city.
