The Hillside Residences project began with a topographical analysis that revealed the site’s potential for a built landscape that mediates between the ridge above and the valley below. Nine villas are organised as a loose cluster, each sitting within its own terrace level, with shared infrastructure carefully concealed within the retaining walls.

The villas are conceived as sequences of open platforms — roof planes, swimming pools, terraces, and garden decks — that dissolve the distinction between indoor and outdoor living. Sliding glass panels on three sides of each living volume allow the interior to be fully opened to the landscape in the Mediterranean summer months.

A communal path system weaves between the villas and connects to a shared amenity building containing a lap pool, gym, and multipurpose room. Rainwater collection and photovoltaic panels embedded in the roof planes make each villa largely energy and water self-sufficient.
