Meridian Tower Complex

Location Istanbul, Turkey
Year 2023
Area 48,000 m²
Client Meridian Development Group

The Meridian Tower Complex emerged from a desire to reconcile the demands of contemporary urban density with a genuine concern for the public realm. Rather than a single monolithic volume, the project is composed of three interconnected towers, each oriented to maximise daylight and minimise wind turbulence at street level.

The facade system uses a double-skin curtain wall with motorised external louvers calibrated to local solar angles, reducing cooling loads by an estimated 35%. Cascading landscaped terraces at every fifth floor create a continuous green spiral visible from across the city, reinforcing the building’s identity as a vertical garden.

At its base, a 4,000 m² public plaza connects the project to the surrounding street grid, featuring water features, mature trees, and a cultural pavilion that hosts rotating exhibitions and performances.
